Awesome little handheld Carlorie Counter
I was apprehensive that it would be too complicated to get much use out of. On the contrary it was easy to enter my personal data, and it is easy to enter food information. It has a huge amount of food choices and you can enter your own food information or do a “quick entry” of calories consumed and calories burned. I have checked several package information labels against the food information in this system and it is VERY accurate. For some of the entries, if I know the calorie information is different, I will just change the size or amount of the serving so the calories entered is closer to being accurate. You can log entries into a “favorite” category so the data entry becomes very quick if you are eating some of the same foods regularly. You can push a single button to get your calorie count for the day. Another button will give you the “net” calories if you have entered exercise information. It stores entries for daily goals and compares your actual intake and outgo to your goals entered. You can enter recipe information to calculate calories. (I have not tried that option yet.) You can also track the protein, carbohydrates, sodium, etc. being consumed.

It is small and light, so it is easy to slip into a purse or pocket. It is SO much more convenient than looking up and logging information into a journal, computerized or paper. I made a commitment that if I ate it, it had to be entered. If I could not enter it, I could not eat it. This has been a very eye opening tool. I have entered the food I was intending to eat and when the calorie count showed up, have altered my choice of food or the portion size to limit the calories consumed. It turns out, that I may not always realize how many calories really are in the food being consumed. This gadget has really helped.

I have NEVER counted calories. I have always felt exercising more (or at all)was a better answer to losing weight. I would choose what I thought were better food choices whenever I was working out to lose weight. Forget the counting of the calories, I wasn’t really eating THAT much. I did not have the time to count calories. I never really lost the weight, and continually gained it because my crazy busy life kept getting in the way of exercising and eating better. Best Home Gym
The Body Solid G9S is an exceptionally well-made home gym but it is only as good as the person who assembles it for you, if you cannot do so yourself. Not knowing any better, I bought the gym online and upon the recommendation of the seller hired an out-of-state company with local technicians to assemble it.

I highly recommend purchasing this item in a brick-and-mortar store that can assemble it properly and provide you with a warranty for the assembly. The problem that I’m having is that the pin does not insert easily and the unit emits a clanking sound when I use one of the weight stacks.

The other weight stack works well. I called a local merchant upon the advice of Body Solid and they wanted $450 to inspect and lubricate the machine. Granted that this also covered any necessary repairs, with the exception of parts, and warranted the work for a year, but that is about what I paid to have the darn thing assembled. So I decided to use it as is and wait until the problem worsened (if it did) to the point I could no longer use it and then have it repaired. I am, otherwise, enjoying this product immensely and highly recommend it. Well worth the price.

Good for tight spaces
Purchased this from amazon in May, great smooth resistance throughout, great range of motion from the arms. Only tight benches will fit in between for the workouts. Items are high quality and pieces come partially assembled making it easier to put together.

Great for a home gym – recommended
I bought this directly from someone else, before Amazon dropped the price, but I would definitely recommend this item. It’ll take you maybe 3 hours to assemble it. Besides the fact that I did have to get a part replaced that was not manufactured correctly (the rod that goes into the weight plates), it seems to be a good quality piece of equipment. The Free Motion cable cross machine is likely the best machine you can get, but for a home gym, it’s not worth the additional $1500 or so. It ships in 6 separate boxes.

Great, Quiet Fan – No More Fog on the Mirror
My husband and I did a lot of research on “crapper fans” as my hubbie calls them. Most of the reviews pointed to this fan as the best, most effective, and most quiet of them. Despite the price – I admit I got the “oh geez” face when I understood we were paying more than $100 for a bathroom fan – we got one for each of our full baths. I can’t say enough that they are great!!! Whisper quiet is an understatement; really, you can’t tell that they are on. But most importantly, my husband can take his devilishly hot showers without fogging up the mirrors and causing any more steam damage to the paint. This is an excellent product. It’s completely worth the few extra dollars.

Back for another one…
During our first bathroom renovation I purchased what I thought was a good fan and it was way too loud. Pulled it out and purchased this one. Has turned out to be just perfect. Extremely quiet but it’s ‘just’ loud enough to know it’s on and I like that.

We’re now redoing our second bathroom and will get another one of these. Don’t forget to calculate your bathroom CFM (LxWxH ÷ 7.5) so you know what size to purchase.

This exhaust fan is very quiet and moves a lot of air, my bath mirror barely steams up any more. My problem is now I forget to turn it off because I barely can hear it.

The ATV looks rugged and tough, with its heavy black tread and thin antennae. I bought this toy at toysrus because I always wanted an rc car with a camera I could see with. It is realy a lot of fun to drive around your house and explore under furniture and chase your pets. Its a little expensive but you have to take in consideration what you are getting, you are actually getting three toys in one. You have the rc tank itself which does a good job of getting over obsticals such as clothes, toys, and rugs on the floor. the tank also alows you to pivit and scan the room in one spot which is very usefull. The atv also comes with a spy camera which allows you to see what the toy is seeing though a head set. Also it has an electric ear. Overall a fun toy for kids and adults.

Get a toy’s-eye-view
My son asked for this toy for Christmas, and while it is quite a simple device it is also an interesting way to see the World from the toy’s perspective. The black and white viewer works quite well in a variety of light situations and the range is at least 10m through brick walls in the house.

My only negative comment is that it requires 12 AA’s and as they run out quickly it is best to have NiMH rechargables ready for the day the present is opened!

I bought the Envirocycle Composter a few weeks ago after extensive web research. I wanted a self-rotating composter as my major concern was the possiblity of rodents, flys and other pests. I simply did not want to hand-turn a compost pile.

The Envirocycle Composter is not as durable as I would have expected. I think the plastic is on the thin side, and I’m convinced the door latch will break some day. The product does come with a decent warranty. You can also read more about the product at that website. The cylinder drum and door are covered for five years; the base is covered for two years; and the wheels, axles, and caps for one year.

Right now, my Envirocycle is about 1/4 full with an equal mix of brown yard waste and green kitchen waste. I have it sitting outside on a concrete slab in a dog pen (to deter curious racoons). It is still winter here in St. Louis. So far, I do not notice any odor and I have not had any tampering from neighborhood animals. I don’t think I’m anywhere near having compost. I am amazed to see how much kitchen waste we generate now that it is not going into the garbage. I feel good about keeping it out of a landfill.

I do have a handy trick for gathering kitchen waste. Rather than use a countertop container, I keep an ordinary plastic container in the freezer. This keeps odors down and eliminates the need to purchase a special container with charcoal filters. Freezing actually aids the decomposition process. If you want to batch compost, you can accumulate a large quantity of kitchen waste in a deep freezer.

I’ll update this review periodically to fill readers in on the progress of the composting process.

My wife said “Wow, not as ugly as I was expecting”
I did a fair amount of website research and looking over product reviews, and one website claimed that the Enviro-Cycle was by far getting the most favorable reviews. I bought from Amazon, and I love this product, but I have only had it for about 2 weeks.

It says that it can only handle being 3/4 full, but I am near capacity already, and it is still spinning without difficulty (a little heavy, but works well). I also like the large capacity compost tea collector. It comes with no assembly required and you just have to remove the outer plugs to allow the tea to drain. It looks much better in my yard than the previous compost pile that was there. I live in DE so I do not know how it will do in a prolonged winter season, but it seems to be perfectly usable here.

The Enviro-cycle has a decent 7 cubic foot capacity which will take most of my yard clippings and daily food compost easily. I have a only a quarter acre lot, and still I could not use this composter alone for grass clippings. It has a fairly large opening up top and is easy to fill and fairly easy to empty if you don’t overstuff it.

My main concern with compost has always been that as you are making nice rich compost, you are also adding new substrate. Because of this I like the concept of a double composter, but the ones I saw on-line were a little unsightly. I will therefore be buying another one of these so I can add compost to one bin for a few weeks, and then keep spinning it to make if all rich, while I fill the second one for the next few weeks. The composter is about 3 feet tall and 2.5 feet wide. In the end the two composters will cost me close to the price of most double composters and even less then many single composters.
Before I bought the second one, however, I had to make sure that it acceptable to my wife. In the end, she was pleased with this one. So much so, that I will be purchasing another one shortly.

If you want a composter that doesn’t take a huge amount of space and looks pretty good in your garden this is it. It’s easy to turn the barrel and its design lets you roll it over to the area that you need to use it. Moreover, you can make compost tea with the solution that drains into the bottom tray/tank. Its the most reasonably priced rotating composter I’ve found. Those stationary units you have to aerate yourself just don’t cut it for me.

Excellent Recreational Board Near Bar Quality
General:

Overall this is an excellent board, and I believe an excellent value, even at this price. The board plays very similar to a bar board at a fraction of the price. It is not without its issues, but those are outweighed by its benefits.

Pros:
-Excellent playablility
-Multitude of games
-X/O feature very nice and readable from a distance
-Few bounce-outs
-Sound effects announce number and score
-Solid construction
-Easy Installation

Cons:
-Darts that come with the board are junk. You must buy your own, unless you love chasing flights after each throw. At this price point, you probably own your own darts anyways.
-Bulls-eye malfunction: About once every 5 games, you will hit very close to the bulls-eye on say a 15, and it will score as a bulls-eye. The “bounce out” button allows for correction.
-Although the X/O display is lit, the numbers the X/O’s correspond to just above it are not. So, from the throw line, you can barely see what numbers you need unless you memorize the X/O numbers. Basically before each throw you say I need 1 more of the second number from the left.
-CPU Vs. mode is useless. The CPU throws dreadfully slow, and even in novice mode(easiest) typically throws will be triple 20, triple 17 and double bulls-eye. Unless you are near pro, just play by yourself.

Even with the list of cons, this is still a 5 star board. I know it is expensive, but when you see that the playability is similar to a bar board at $3000-$4000, $250 seems like a steal. Just remember this is a recreational board, and it is not without minor issues.

excellent electronic dart board, love it
have had this board for a few days now (playing solo cricket). i love it. a few words of caution, the measurements for screw alignment, as stated in pamphlet, was incorrect. please measure the back of the board for correct measurements concerning distance for screw placement. once screws were placed properly, bulls eye measurements were incorrect by 1/2″ (low). one great plus, the heckler can be turned off. quite annoying. i do enjoy the fact that the board does let the shooter know which number was tagged/missed/closed, but, on the con side, it does not register missed hits outside the ring (time to cheat and throw again!?). just remember to hit next player (which is announced). i gave 5 stars for the simple reason, the board is actually great and worth every penny.

Very happy with purchase but wish for more
I like this dart board very much. Having everything automated is so nice and allows me to visit with my friends instead of scoring. The price was a little high. The talking can be annoying. I like that it reveals what was hit. However, adding “hit” or “miss” adds to much talking. It’s like having someone talk when your trying to putt. I throw darts fast enough that it’s talking as I throw because it says too much. Just say the point value of what I hit…please.
