The is part of the World Tour Elite collection. It is a great touring shoe for a trip to Europe or the local shopping mall. Rockport is known for walking and this collection leads the charge. The shoe has the patented walking platform for a wide base of support. The Stitch-in and San Crispino provides the forefoot flexibility and aids heel stability. The Dynamic Suspension footbed (DMX) air chamber on the bottom of the footbed provides dynamic air cushioning. The Compression-molded EVA midsole provides lightweight resilient cushioning and helps reduce foot fatigue, while the solid rubber outsole provides durable grip on a variety of surfaces. The merrell shoe has a removable footbed, fiberlon shank support that provides lightweight midfoot support, and is airport friendly.

Super Shoes! I walked very many miles in the Portugal, Ribera del Duero, Penedes and Cote de Siegre vineyards. Confortable, very confortable. We walk over 5 hours in Lisbon and a week after 6 hours in Paris. In Barcelona we did the same. Super Shoes!
Finally, a shoe I can wear all day long
I’ve had foot problems this past year. Shoes that I had worn comfortably for years, including other Rockports, Ecco, New Balance, Avia, Reebock, Asics, etc…, were suddenly uncomfortable and painful to wear all day long.
These Rockports are great. I’m finally NOT in a hurry to get home and get into my slides. I was to the point that I’d pay $300 or better for a comfortable pair of shoes. This shoe is well worth the money.

My husband has worn the world tour rockports and found them very comfortable, but the “elite” version has even better support and cushioning.
