The model is specifically designed for gold and silver treasure hunting. Large screen will display the type of object found with a high degree of accuracy. It accurately distinguishes a Penny, Nickel, Dime or Quarter. It can be used in four different modes. Under DISC mode, the detector can eliminate unwanted objects by selecting the top of panel. The estimate depth of object will also be displayed. Under All Metal mode, the metal detector emits only a monotone sound when finding a target and display the depth of the object. Under Notch mode, you can selectively eliminate one or several metals to if you know your target. When metal detector is working in Auto Notch mode, it will automatically eliminate trash metals for you. The sensitivity is fully adjustable. The ground Balance is fully automatic in this mode. * It can be used both in Motion or Non Motion mode.

Best for the money!
This unit is the very best metal detector I have seen for under $80. It has no target identification meter, but it does have a very decent discrimination control and reasonably good depth for it’s price. In an air test I was able to detect a US penny at 7 inches away from the search coil, and that again is quite remarkable for the amount of money I invested buying it.
I own about 20 other metal detectors, some costing as much as $1000. I was a detector repairman during the 80′s, and I have used nearly every metal detector on the retail market in the last 30 years. I would recommend this detector as the very best starter detector to be found, and as for myself, I plan to use it too, especially in gravel or dirt parking lots where it seems to shine. The search rod is barely long enough for me at 6’1″, but it is adequate. The housing is well made and sturdy, although the rear armrest is a little inadequate in that it does not always stop it from pulling away from my forearm as I swing it. But that could be easily remedied with a lightweight strap of some kind. I think I got a real good deal with this detector. It is a very nice little detector.
