love the retro color, and it’s totally durable. easy to clean, a little tricky to carry, but it’s basically a portable refridge. defintitely a long term investment for those of us who like a cooler on the porch, patio, deck, or outdoors.

Solid product!
Bought this for a quick BBQ I was having. Packed it with about 30 bottles of beer with ice and it had enough room for 20 bubba burger patties on top! Only complaint is that the when fully packed the metal handles on the sides felt like they were gonna rip off – but they didn’t so that was good.

Excellent way to relax in the woods
I absolutely love these hammocks. I bought one for my fiancé and one for myself and we put them up immediately to start lounging. We then brought them camping with us and everyone that went with us (11 other people) had to have their turn in the hammock. I even had a few friends swinging in them. They are strong, dry fast (it rained on them) and are very comfortable. My fiancé took a two hour nap in one and I took I fell asleep while listening to friends in the other. The fact that the stuff sack is attached is very helpful. We did not have any problem with the hammock and had people weighing at least 180-190 lbs sat in it and apparently others had problems with the ropes but we didn’t . I highly recommend these.

Get what you pay for
This is a great product if you are curious about this style of hammock and are skeptical still because you don’t know if you will like it. My buddy has a high quality kind of the same style that he takes on every backpacking trip he goes on, that way he does not need to pack a sleeping mat or tent (he also has a rain fly for his that he purchased separately). I never tried his out but liked the idea so much that I searched for one of the cheapest hammocks of this style and this is the one I found. I actually love it, but the ropes it came with are not too practical because they are quite short which limits the versatility of where to put it up, but you can get any other length of rope for pretty cheap almost anywhere that will make this much more versatile.

The first time I used it I set it up at a children’s park in between the play structures while my brother had baseball practice. I just wanted to test it by laying in it and reading a book, but when I sat in it something popped and it fell slightly. It ended up being because of the way the construction of the hook is attached to the hammock. I am 6’2″ and 145lbs (so I doubt it will hold 300lbs comfortably but I could be wrong). When this happened it didn’t break, but it frayed the rope attached to the hammock a little bit. Since then I have yet to have a problem. It IS pretty comfortable and I actually carry it with me in my school backpack when attending college, that way I can kick back and relax or study outside whenever the weather permits it.

I would recommend this item, like I said, to anyone who is skeptical about this style and doesn’t want to invest in an expensive one. I hope this was helpful to you, the other reviews were for me…

Good Hammock
The material quality is about what you would expect for the price. There are no carabiners included and it instead comes with hooks. That being said it is more comfortable than far more expensive ones. Ditch the hooks, use carabiners. These hammocks do not pinch you inward making it very comfortable.

A tip to you campers, use just one line between points (utilize a prusik knot for tension) and let the hammock drape from that single rope. You can now use that same line for your rain fly or your mosquito netting. You save on weight and you don’t have to cut your rope.

If it came with carabiners I would have given 5 stars.

Just a great bag
I bought this bag for a 10 day backpacking trip to Europe. I filled the bag to it’s max capacity and found that I had packed enough clothing for at least a 15-18 day trip. The bag showed great structural integrity overall and stayed well balanced on my body frame through some long hikes. All the compartments made my belongings easy to organize. Some of the outside straps and clips can be a bit excessive, but I would suggest tying up the slack before you check it in at the airport. They did come in handy when I was on the road. I was able to tie up heavy jackets and even my camera tripod securely. One of the clips on the shoulder straps that is used to secure water bladder tubing snapped in transport; however, it was of little significance to me overall and there is an extra one on the other side. I would definitely recommend this bag if you’re looking for one item to hold all your stuff.

Second time around
This is the second time we have purchased this sleeping bag. We wore out the last one and now the dogs sleep with it. Comfy, warm, and best of all it doesn’t slide around. Coleman is always making excellent products and this is no exception . This is a above 20 degree sleeping bag that uses soft but tough cotton as the material, and a good zipper that actually works. As a bonus it makes a good mattress on hot nights. It is big enough that my 240 pound frame will fit comfy inside. Well worth the bucks!!!!

Super Warm and Comfy!
We used this sleeping bag camping and it was much warmer than our older one that we use like a comforter. For a 40 degree evening it was absolutely perfect. My husband liked it for its warmth and so did I but I also enjoyed how soft the inside is. We are planning on buying another one to replace our older sleeping bag and then zipping them together for added comfort.

Love this old style bag
I’ve owned several sleeping bags and none have been as comfortable as this one. I’ve never been a fan of those synthetic fabrics. This bag is plenty warm, very comfortable and doesn’t slip and slide like synthetics.

Amazing Stove
First, I bought Bayou two times, and it was very bad.I returned both items and then I saw this Brinkmann Double Burner Stove and I ordered it. It blew my mind! Assembly takes only two minutes! It works very well and I recommend it to everyone. If you want to do outside cooking, this stove is perfect for you.The price is good and using the item is very easy. Just about perfect
We wanted a collapsible camping stove and researched brands. This was a recommended brand. The only drawback is that they don’t make a griddle for it!

Damaged
I was very excited when my Brinkmann camping stove arrived only to be instantly crushed when I realized that one of the trays was dented and paint had chipped off the damaged area as a result. Even worse, the damage is in the front of the tray so it is obvious for all to see. I thought to return the stove but it weighs so much that I decided to just keep it. It’s depressing to know I paid nearly $150.00 for a damaged product. The damage has certainly ruined my excitment for the product and will certainly make me think twice before buying another large/heavy product online.

good shelter
I’ve had this tent for over 10 years and it has seen plenty of camping. It is well ventilated with good seams. We’ve slept is it during hellacious rain storms with high winds, lightning and buckets of rain and it is has performed admirably. Be sure to seal the seams every year as you would any tent. We usually camp in the woods so it hasn’t had much uv exposure, but we still use this… I’d buy another… At 7 foot center, you can stand and stretch in it. Our family is only three, me, my wife, our son and our flat coat retriever… plenty of room to play cards etc in rain storms…

A nice tall tent with pockets and cupholders!
We bought this tent to replace a similar Eureka tent that lasted more than 10 years. We love our new Eureka tent! We didn’t even use seam sealer, but it still stayed dry inside during rain on our recent camping trip.

The old tent had four main poles that connected to a center piece, and it was very easy to put up, even by one person. This new tent is just a little harder to put up because there are two very long main poles that arch across the top from corner to corner. We decided that the best process for putting it up was to first stake two corners on the same side of the tent. Then, with the tent flat, we put the two poles through the sleeves and attached them at the two staked corners. Next, the two of us each stood an an unstaked corner so we could simultaneously arch the two poles and fasten the other ends in place. Finally we staked down the third and fourth corner and the sides. Putting up the fly was a breeze.

The tent has a large window on each side, and the zippers worked smoothly! The cupholders and pockets are great, and there are little loops on the inside of seams so you can hang other stuff.

Good 3-season tent
The tent is very spacious and airy. That may be the reason it can be colder than some of the tents which are smaller and not as well ventilated. A word of caution – make sure it is well staked down or the shape makes it take off like a sail. We went camping in Yellowstone this summer and the wind blew it around as we were putting it up. Also, the size can make it harder to find a good camping site.

Excellent price and quality

Excellent Tent – Not so good poles
Purchased this tent for family camping. Used in sierras and on the beach. Easy to set up and take down the basic tent, is a little more complicated to add the vestibules and fly (would suggest you set it up before hand for practice). The full net top is wonderful for watching the stars, but does not allow for privacy (can put the fly on for full coverage.

Only complaint is that one of the poles split, but was still usable. One call to customer service and they sent me a new one out.

Love This Tent
After receiving this tent we did not have time to do a “dry run” of setting it up before we left on a three week vacation. Of course the first night we got to camp late and had to set it up in Big Bend National Park in near darkness with wind gusts of 35mph. Due to tent being large it was challenging but with the two of us it went quickly.The color coded poles are great help. The tent withstood the winds and light showers throughout the trip through Texas, New Mexico and Colorado. For two of us and our Jack Russell Terrier the size is great for all our gear and the dog to have room to play inside. I would highly recommend this tent for those who want quick set-up and durability.

Great tent for summer camping but not for weather under 60 degrees
This is my first review of an item I purchases on Amazon and the reason I’m writing this review is to inform other buyers of the 1 MAJOR problem with this tent because if I had know about it I would have purchased a different tent

The back part and top of the tent is all mesh and it doesn’t have any material with a zipper to close it, the mesh is covered by the rainfly but this leaven plenty of open vents for wind and cold air to flow.
This is not shown in the picture and didn’t see it described on other reviews.
If you take out the rainfly and stand at the front of the tent with the zipper door open you can look right thru the tent like there was nothing there.
Someone in my campsite said it looked like the back of the tent was hit by a hurricane and the only thing left was the front of the tent

We went camping to Lake George NY this past weekend (Memorial Day) and it got cold a bit cold at night and we felt the breeze coming in, if there was a zipper to close the mesh part this would be a great tent,

My only other issue is that for a 5 person tent, my wife and 3 small children fit ok in the tent but if the children were a little bigger I don’t see how we would fit.

I was a little concerned with the bottom of the tent because it is made of the same material and the upper part of the tent, but I must say we had some steady rain on Saturday and Sunday and I didn’t notice any moisture inside the tent.

If you are camping in weather above 60 I think this is a great tent and it has plenty of air flow

Selecting a Tent
Fortunately, there are all kinds of tents for weekend car campers, Everest expeditions, and everything in-between. Here are a few things to keep in mind:

Expect the Worst
In general, it’s wise to choose a tent that’s designed to withstand the worst possible conditions you think you’ll face. For instance, if you’re a summer car camper in a region where weather is predictable, an inexpensive family or all purpose tent will likely do the trick–especially if a vehicle is nearby and you can make a mad dash for safety when bad weather swoops in! If you’re a backpacker, alpine climber or bike explorer, or if you like to car camp in all seasons, you’ll want to take something designed to handle more adversity.

Three- and Four-Season Tents
For summer, early fall and late spring outings, choose a three-season tent. At minimum, a quality three season tent will have lightweight aluminum poles, a reinforced floor, durable stitching, and a quality rain-fly. Some three-season tents offer more open-air netting and are more specifically designed for summer backpacking and other activities. Many premium tents will feature pre-sealed, taped seams and a silicone-impregnated rain-fly for enhanced waterproofness.

For winter camping or alpine travel, go with a four season model. Because they typically feature more durable fabric coatings, as well as more poles, four-season tents are designed to handle heavy snowfall and high winds without collapsing. Of course, four-season tents exact a weight penalty of about 10 to 20 percent in trade for their strength and durability. They also tend to be more expensive.

Domes and Tunnels
Tents are broadly categorized into two types, freestanding, which can stand up on their own, and those that must be staked down in order to stand upright. Freestanding tents often incorporate a dome-shaped design, and most four-season tents are constructed this way because a dome leaves no flat spots on the outer surface where snow can collect. Domes are also inherently stronger than any other design. Meanwhile, many three-season models employ a modified dome configuration called a tunnel. These are still freestanding, but they require fewer poles than a dome, use less fabric, and typically have a rectangular floor-plan that offers less storage space than a dome configuration. Many one and two-person tents are not freestanding, but they make up for it by being more lightweight. Because they use fewer poles, they can also be quicker to set up than a dome.

Size Matters
Ask yourself how many people you’d like to fit in your fabric hotel now and in the future. For soloists and minimalists, check out one-person tents. If you’re a mega-minimalist, or if you have your eye on doing some big wall climbs, a waterproof-breathable bivy sack is the ticket. Some bivy sacks feature poles and stake points to give you a little more breathing room. Also, if you don’t need bug protection and you want to save weight, check out open-air shelters.

Families who plan on car camping in good weather can choose from a wide range of jumbo-sized tents that will accommodate all your little ones with room to spare. A wide range of capacities is also available for three- and four-season backpacking and expedition tents. Remember, though, the bigger the tent you buy, the heavier it will be, although it’s easy to break up the tent components among several people in your group. My husband and I put this together in under 15 minutes, it was very easy and quick. It has rained and so far no leakes.

Good tent – good value
My husband and I researched before deciding on this tent. We are casual campers so we didn’t need to spend a lot of money. But we wanted enough space for an air mattress and all our gear without having to push everything up along the sides. And we wanted easy set up. This tent fits the bill very well. There is gobs of room for 2 people and all their stuff. At 5′ 1″, I am able to stand up in the center (hubby has to bend over a bit). We used it this weekend and it was perfect for our needs. We did read that it is important to seal the seams when getting a new tent because of the little holes created by the sewing needle. We did that as soon as we got it, but we had perfect weather this past weekend, so I still don’t know how well it will hold up in crappy weather. I have high hopes, however. We had no trouble at all setting it up and all in all, we are very pleased with our purchase.

The king of the camp
I am a homeless man who has recently made the purchase of this fine tent. OMG, this tent makes me feel like I won the lottery. It is a mansion among the plethora of cardboard dwellings in the empty field behind 7-11. Tears flow daily from my homeless brothers and sisters as they round the corner of that 7-11 and take in the scene we call “our neighborhood”. The water flows freely from their meth polluted, whiskey red eyes.
